Junk car! After I hit 100k miles on my 2017, the transmission started to jerk in first gear really bad and the car will shake violently in first gear. Since I bought it new, always a problem upon problem! Took it to the dealer and I was told I will need a new transmission and that there was a debris found upon dropping the trans pan. I was quoted 16k for new transmission! I sold it to the junk yard and bought me a Toyota rav4 hybrid! Never junk Mercedes again!

The last generation of these engines (above 2013) adjusted many issues and run smothly. Sadly, the damage to its image was irreversible.

Go all the way back to that silicone masquerading as an oil plug crush washer. Those washers are used for a reason. I'd bet that's where all that oil went. The Lambda's don't burn oil normally.

I had a 2016 Ram 1500 eco diesel. It was the biggest pile of shit ever. It leaked oil several different times. It stunk in the cab from the DPF burning. I got rid of it after 6 months at 7,500 miles.

That’s why they come with a 10 year warranty because even Hyundai knows their cars are garbage even Nissan laughs at them at least their engines don’t blow seize up just the CVT transmissions fail lol 😂

Poor oil maintenance because the main bearings were delaminating but I am shocked that the oil filter caught all the lifter debris. The crank looks like it could be polished

Ford is producing weak valve parts that fail early, over 700,000 Bronco engines with valve failures at 1,000 to 3,000 miles. Ford holds the World's record for lowest mileage engine failures of any engine manufacturers. Not good, Ford Quality last. You would think they would test their engines before testing them on consumers ?!?

Imagine 20 years in the future when all these crap engines have been fixed and replaced until just getting trashed. At least with older engines you can take em apart and rebuild them with mostly standard tools and especially the desired engines. These will just be piling up in junkyards 1000s of 3.0 duramax's ram eco diesels and all the other planned obsolescence engines 😩😩

This is what happens when you let environmental engineers design your engine.

You need to offer and patent an auxiliary oiling system for the rollers. An add-on above the valve covers with jets to keep them lubricated at idle.

I never had a 5.8 spit out spark plugs.

I 100 thousand of hard miles on mine. No problems after driving it to the drag strip repeatedly and racing and driving back a 140 mile round trip. I did have to put a cooling fan on it last year @ 89 thousand but that’s it for repairs and have had zero oil consumption since 2013 when I bought it new. My second coyote actually and the first one was just as reliable and the performance is second to none. Yeah this was a scam and the guy that did it will be karmalized.

A cold air kit maybe got submerged for a bit. It definitely had water go through it and since 4&8 cylinders are next to each other in the firing order it makes even more sense out of the water damage while running scenario. HYDROLOCK!

my buddy has a 2011 5.7 hemi ram 1500 and he has had the heads rebuilt and all kinds of stuff and it still ticks at higher rpm. I told him that one of the push rods could have a flat spot or a slight bend leaving slack in the valvetrain, he's so upside down in that truck but wont sell it due to the money hes spent trying to fix it. At this point he could have put a new engine in it for less than hes spent bandaiding the engine he has.

I'm looking for an intake manifold and throttle body off of an LS6. Do you have one for sale?
